A LONGGGG WINTER

Hello! Long time. What can I say but we have been busy and we are finally seeing signs of spring in Zootown. Its running season for Aaron and Tijanna they have already done a couple races. Excuse the fact nothing is in order, that's the downfall of not doing a blog update in forever.

The picture below is from this past weekend, Aaron is coming in from a 10K race, he is still smiling which means it went well. He came in at just over 58 minutes, it was over his goal but we are still proud of him since it was only his 2nd race of the season.

The rockstar of this past Saturday was Tijanna, she came in 10th OVERALL in her race and she was the 3rd girl to come in. She was also the youngest to come in so far. She ran her mile in 9 minutes 46 seconds you can see her time at the very bottom
Here she comes...looking strong. Tijanna is also on the county youth track team this year. She begins in May. We figured it was a great way for her to accumulate marathon miles since she is signed up for Missoula Kids Marathon in July
Pre race....

Tija also had her Girl Scout Awards ceremony this past week, of course she came home with more badges for mom to sew on...
This is Tijanna working on a class project, a model of planet Earth...

Jorga helping big sis with her model

Aaron and I did the bulletin boards for Jorga's class for the month of April, we had a blast, who knew it would be suck a big job!

This was the first run of the season Run For the Trees, it was pouring down rain that day

My peep Stacey and I decided we would try X-Country Skiing this year, we only got out once but we had a great time

Aaron volunteered with the girl scouts in February and took the group out snowshoeing
That's Jorga on her dads back in the front

Another BIG 2nd grade project and one that is very popular at St Joes, the penguins, they choose the penguin they want to study, (who knew there are hundreds of different kinds) she then had to make a model, the body is a 2 litre bottle of pop.
Aaron has found a new past time, he enjoys painting he has done 3 so far, this is just one. He was asked by our friend Amy to paint a picture he did it and it turned out great and he has kept going. Horses aren't something he is set on, he thinks he may start doing buildings in the same style
We made it to the Flathead a few weeks ago and got in a visit to Great Gramma Rose and Great Grandpa Al. They love to see the girls, Tijanna plays fiddle songs for them and Jorgas spirit makes their day
The day we came, Grandma was making Bangs (fry bread) the girls helped. This is Jorgas little tiny fry bread, it looks like a chicken leg!
Love this picture, she sat here forever just looking out over papa Tonys porch
Girls scouts in the St Paddys Day Parade
We have been very busy as you can see. Tijanna is done with school early this year, luckily Nana is moving to Missoula so they can pal around together this summer. Jorga will stay in school 3 days a week. I am working full time still and loving the job. Aaron is slowly picking up work but is still only at 32 hours a week, we are on year 3 of this, we wont know what to do with ourselves when he is full time again. We are planning a very BIG surprise for Tijas birthday this year, she thinks she is going to Triple Play in Coeur d Alene Idaho but that story will have to wait for another day. Tijanna is also making her First Communion May 1st PLEASE keep her in your prayers. Jorga may start the violin this summer also. WE love and miss you all.

Thanks for posting a pic of Rose! I still have a painting she gave me for my wedding on my shelf and Chris loved seeing a picture of Grandma Rose (she took care of him when he was little). Love seeing pictures of your happy family. xoxo
