Hello!
I know its taken forever , but when you see all the pictures we couldn't help but share, you will understand why its taken so long! Just days after starting summer vacation, we suprised the girls with a trip to SoCal. They had NO idea they were going until just two hours before we boarded the plane. Tijanna was promised a trip to Tripple Play for her birthday but all along we were planning the trip to California. Both girls had never been on a plane so it was a great suprise, Thanks so much to everyone who knew we were planning it and NOT spilling the beans, we knew it would be hard.
We are professional travelers, I think we could do a trip over the pond easily with these two. We arrived at LAX, got our luggage, caught our ride to the car rental lot, had our car and we were on I5 South within an hour....destination San Diego!
Our room had two walls of windows, one overlooking the pool and the other the bay!
The next morning we decided to cruise around being on Montana time and up at 5:30 California time, we headed to the beach of course...Sea World doesn't open til 9:00 (slackers)
We were one of the first people into Sea World...what a blast!
For 3 dollars you can feed the sea lions, we of course had to try it but the birds actually take the food right out of your hand if your not fast and they too were fed.
You cant go to Sea World without seeing the sharks!
The shows at Sea World are worth EVERY PENNY!
The Sea World Tower is amazing you go up inside and the 360 view of San Diego is breathtaking, we fell in love with San Diego...the fact is was air conditioned was also a plus and worth the 1/2 hour wait
Tija and Aaron went on the biggest ride in Sea World. We found out fast that Tija has NO FEAR.
Here they come out the tunnel and of course they are in front!
I had to buy the professional picture for the low price of $18
We got a kick out of the killer whale pretzels
this is one of the views from the tower
The next day we searched for my old diggs..William Penn Elementary, This is my kindergarten classroom! We even found my old house, but didnt get a picture.
We also hit Seaport Village, you cant go to San Diego without going here. We have a picture of my lil sis Nichole sitting on this wall when she was only 1 1/2 years old.
We then went to La Jolla Beach its the only beach where the humans and sea lions swim together
You can see the sea lions here
this was a pretty building, I took the picture for Aaron, he even has ME taking pictures of architecture
We also went into Old Town San Diego....
No trip to San Diego is complete without visiting the most beautiful part of the city! GO CHARGERS! (you can see I am the only one standing in the picture)
Aaron made me take this picture...of course some old guy was in it.
Off to where the beautiful people are.....
The view from our hotel...we were upgraded to a suite!
My girls talk about this trip every day! I am glad we are fortunate to give them this memory. We will be back!
